Premier contains inpatient, outpatient, di … Premier contains inpatient, outpatient, disease, and mortality data. On its own Premier captures all inpatient charge information and the link with Optum captures actual claims. The following charge data master information is available: hospital inpatient records, admission date, discharge date, and procedure codes. The following outpatient data is available: non-hospital patient records, date of service, and procedure codes. All disease are included in the database and severity is measured through the 3M APR-DRG Severity of Illness code. Mortality data is captured. Premier contains drug information for all patients, including: drug name, dose, strength, days supply, quantity dispensed (most cases), date written, and date dispensed. Both inpatient and outpatient data are available. It generally takes 90-120 days for prescription data to be made available in Premier. Drugs are coded based on the generic name. The pharmacy database does not include NDC or GPI codes. Prior authorization/utilization management information is not captured. on management information is not captured. +
